The New York Times:
The Times has very specific instructions regarding the submission of letters.
Those instructions are provided below, should any supporters be interested in
contacting that publication at
letters@nytimes.com
NYT: How to Submit a Letter to the Editor
Letters should be exclusive to The New York Times or The International New York
Times. We do not publish open letters or third-party letters.
Letters should preferably be 150 to 175 words, should refer to an article that
has appeared within the last seven days, and must include the writer's address
and phone numbers. No attachments, please.
We regret that because of the volume of submissions, we cannot acknowledge
unpublished letters other than by an automated e-mail reply. Writers of letters
selected for publication will be notified within a week. Letters may be edited
and shortened for space.
For more suggestions on getting your letter published in the Times, please

YOU MAY ALSO POST YOUR LETTERS IN OPEN MEDIA FORUMS, including:
Ossining Patch:
Here’s how you can share your news right away in four simple steps:
• Go to http://ossining.patch.com/boards
• Start typing — your neighbors want to know the latest. (Tip: Uploading a photo
or video will make your contribution standout.)
• So that your post does not look like one GIANT paragraph, hit the hard return
2 times at the end of each paragraph—this will ensure proper formatting.
• Choose the board that best fits your topic.
• Hit “Post Now.”
It’s live for everyone to see. Be sure to share the link on your social media
networks.
